Should comedians be censored (vetted?) at white house events?

Michelle Wolf did a routine at the White House Corespondents Dinner and just took shots at EVERYONE. From the president to the news anchors. 
So, do you think comedians should be censored in any way at large white house events like this? 
Should they be researched more before being brought it? (she told them during her routine that they probably should have researched her level of comedy before being brought in)
**Censored might be too strong of a sentiment, but I hope you get what I’m asking. 🧐

What's  the point? If you invite  a comedian, you tend to know what their comedy entails. I can imagine not very many  would be willing to go, and not be able to use their  work.

The president spews nasty comments on the regular, so, IDGAF what she said or to whom. First amendment is a pretty important thing, and as far as I know, it only limits hate speech that incites violence. But, then there is this guy:

The White House Correspondents dinner is always a good time, if people in power will be a good sport about it. The problem is with this administration, if they can dish out horrible awful things but cry when it’s given back. Maybe they’ll learn.

I don’t understand why they would invite a comedian then get salty when she does what they had her come to do. So I don’t think she should have to edit her stuff. If they were worried about it shouldn’t they have told her what was off limits to joke about first?

Censoring a comedian at the White House correspondent's dinner would take away the entire point of the dinner itself. 
That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if our Cheeto in Chief decided to do that. I'm sure that they (the press) would just have their own event then.

No, that's the point of this dinner especially. I don't have any problem with her sharing her comedy and voicing her opinons.
I do think, however, she has to accept the backlash. From what I read the routine didn't sit well with many people. I hope she doesnt apologize because I dont think you should have to, she did nothing wrong. But you have to accept other people's opinions and reaction, those are just as valid.

The top story on the HuffPost this morning was Trump calling for the end of the WHCD. This administration are like the kid on the playground who picks on everyone else but the second they get picked on they take their toys and go home and cry to Mommy that everyone’s being mean to them. And they call the liberals the snowflakes.
