Having to wait to announce...

Anyone else?

This coming Tuesday I will be at the magical 12 week marker. Yay! After having a missed miscarriage last fall with virtually no symptoms however, I’m still nervous despite lots of healthy scans so far (twins!). However it’s not until week 13 that we have our next scan and get to meet with the genetics counselor. The nurse suggested waiting until after that next appointment before we start to announce publicly.

I’m just wondering if anyone else is sharing in a similar kind agony of this next week and a few days? To make it worse I just found out ... surprise!...that I’m a freaking carrier for Cystic Fibrosis, so we are also waiting until my husband’s blood work comes back clean, which will hopefully be before our next appointment.
