Boob pain?

So I rarely ever have sore boobs before my period but if I do it’s usually like 2 days before my period , I was put on 2000 mg of metformin and I think I ovulated and a week later my boobs started hurting and they are still hurting and feel really heavy it’s been like a week and a half , idk if that’s a symptom of my doctor upping my metformin? I could be pregnant but my boobs are sore like its really noticeable but it isn’t so bad that I want to cry like I see some girls say so that makes me feel like I’m not? Any insight
