Chance of miscarriage after 8weeks?

Does anyone know real facts on this? Once you’ve had your 8wk appt and detected heartbeat and baby measures correct size for gestational age, what is the likelihood of miscarriage in a low risk pregnancy?
I know it drops dramatically and a good 8wk appt is a good sign of a pregnancy of continuing, but I’m just curious if anyone knows more about this.

I am always worried too. I’m 10 weeks now and have yet to have my first appointment so I don’t feel safe yet. But this is what I used to reassure myself.

You can customize it with your age, height. weight, birth and miscarriage history and it’ll give you a percentage for every day of every week. Right now at 10 weeks it’s down to 2%. At 8 weeks it’s only 4%. But that helped me to know how rare it is for every week of my pregnancy.

once you see a heart beat, it drops to a 10% chance. 12 weeks, 2% chance. these are stats my doctor gave me. however, miscarriage happens in 1 in 4 pregnancies. Its scary comment =( I had one with my first and almost every women I talked to at work told me they had one too.

From my research on this- online articles and some baby books- your chances of miscarriage go down week by week. It’s relatively high in the 4-6 week range, around 15%. But as the weeks go on, it starts getting in the single digit percentile. So still a small possibility, but if all looks healthy, mostly unlikely. At 12 weeks, I think it gets down to under a one percent chance. That’s why most women opt for announcing then because it is very unlikely to miscarry.
