Would you be worried?

Question

I am 38W 3D. My baby has been head down since 32 weeks, but she hasn't engaged yet. She is really low but her head is over my bladder. In the photo her head is that bulge hanging below my bikini bottoms. My midwife thinks baby will engage when she's ready, but my mom is a retired L&D; nurse and she thinks it's a sign baby is too big for my pelvis. I plan to ask my midwife about it tomorrow at my appointment, But I'm a little worried.

If your midwife isn’t worried, don’t let yourself be worried. L&D; is a different beast than a midwife. Midwives typically have a hands off approach until something could be a problem - you still have time for baby to settle down. Big babies can be born vaginally.

My friends baby didn’t want to come down either. But after contractions were intense enough, baby came right down
