Normal weight for baby?

So I’ve been reading and I’m getting a bit concerned. My 6 month old baby is 18 pounds, and I’m worried if this is normal. I’m a teen mom so everything about my parenting and my baby’s health is more monitored and questioned by her pediatrician. So I’m afraid she’ll say I’m over feeding or something. What do your six month olds weigh?

My daughter was also 18 pounds at 6 months. 75th percentile. Very normal and acceptable weight for that age.

Most babies double their birth weight by around 5 months. So if your baby was born around 8 or 9lbs that sounds right on track.

Don’t stress. My son is 8 months and last weighed 23lbs. He’s in the 95th percentile for weight and our physician hasn’t expressed any concerns.

my daughter was about that at that age.  She also stayed that weight until about 10 months until she started walking
