Looking for positivity... please no negative comments
Hey guys! I’m looking for some reassuring positive advice and support. Please nothing negative.
I have been TTC for 8 months. I became pregnant in February and had an early miscarriage just before reaching 5 weeks.
I found out I was pregnant again on April 7th. Because I have the history of miscarriage and I also am on medicine for high blood pressure the doctors wanted to see me early at 7 weeks.
I went in for my 7 week appointment and the ultrasound showed that I was closer to 5 weeks which I’m not surprised about, a lot of women in my family ovulate late.
The day before my appointment I had one episode of spotting. Light pink discharge once when I wiped and nothing else. The doctor told me 20% of women have bleeding in early pregnancy and it is completely normal unless it turns bright red or I have cramping.
Today I had some spotting again. Still light pink discharge, this time it lasted for about an hour and it’s been gone since.
Based on what my doctor said this is normal and I shouldn’t panic, but of course with my history I am very nervous about maintaining this pregnancy.
If you’ve stayed with my story this long, thank you! Have you gone on to have normal pregnancies with first trimester bleeding? How did you remain calm?
My next appointment is May 10th. Trying to make it until then with some sanity 🌈🌈🌈
