BFP after 10 months TTC

D

Finally got our BFP after 10 months TTC. Every month I would look for posts talking about what people did differently the month they got their BFP. We did nothing differently. We BD’d every other day until peak day, then three days in a row. In prior months I tried every magical supplement I could find, and this month I just stuck to regular prenatals. I can tell you this - I insisted my doctor see me after 6 months TTC even though she didn’t want to see me until 12 months. In my case, something was truly wrong, and it took demanding an ultrasound to find out. I had to have surgery to remove an endometrioma. I had no symptoms of anything unusual, just a feeling that this shouldn’t be taking so long to conceive. I’m young, I exercise and eat healthy, and was doing everything I was supposed to. Moral of the story - if you want to wait 12 months before seeing a doctor for help/testing, go for it. If you don’t want to, go sooner. You have to be your own advocate. Don’t let anyone make you feel like you’re overreacting. It’s your body, your stress, your frustration, and your life. Baby dust to you all! Hoping this is a healthy pregnancy!
