Question

Any ladies have any tips on how to get baby on a deep latch? I feel like I’ve tried almost everything and I cant get my boy to take in more of my breast

The best advice I have had from the nurses so far is to express a tiny bit on to the nipple and point it towards the top of their mouth. So far I have had better luck. I also find that I need to be sitting completely upright holding the baby in a cradle with the opposite hand from the breast I am trying to latch.

Point the nipple towards the nose, let them open their mouth wide, then stick it in with the nipple touching the roof of his mouth

I had lots of trouble with latching, and still am. I found out that the hospital I delivered at has a free lactation group every week where you can drop in and see a lactation nurse for help with anything. Maybe check if your hospital offers something similar? Good luck momma!
