Doctor won’t take me seriously HELP plllzzz
HEAR ME OUT ON THIS PLZZZZ lol.
I’m vegetarian. I have been for a long time since I lost 50+ lbs & I also try to avoid eggs and dairy but I’ll still eat them if necessary. There’s a lot of reasons I am so don’t get all aggressive with me about eating meat please if you haven’t tried a vegetarian diet.
ANYWAYS
I asked my doctor when I started TTC if me being a vegetarian would hurt anything, he said no and blew it off.
I’m also polycystic and am on metformin and all the other hormones/meds for it. In my first 7 months I had 3 miscarriages. Im reading now that metformin causes b12 (the vitamin from dead meat) deficiency.
I’m vegetarian so I already am b12 deficient which I supplement very well because I want to be healthy as possible.... but if the metformin causes a deficiency I’m probably not getting any b12 at all even though I’m supplementing.
There’s tons of info saying that b12 deficiency causes miscarriage/recurrent miscarriage because b12 has to do with hormones and all that jazz.
(sorry I’m super mind blown so that probably sounded crazy)
I’m just pissed because why wouldn’t he say anything when I brought it up? I want to call tomorrow and ask about it but what do I even say because I don’t want them to think I’m nuts. I need help please. 😞
