I’d say yes, as long as that isn’t the only criteria. Consider how many applications colleges/employers get. They have to narrow down the field of candidates somehow.

It depends. It shouldn’t be the only thing considered. But let’s take med school for example. You wouldn’t want someone who just barely graduated undergrad going to med school. At least I wouldn’t want a doctor like that.

Honestly no. So many people learn and show their knowledge in different ways. Some people get so stressed out that when they take tests they completely bomb it yet they could b the smartest kid in that same class. 
Then there’s the mental health aspect that’s just a whole other can of worms.
