Painful trigger shot

So last night was my trigger shot! 10,000 units Pregnyl. It hurt like a bitch! But was over so quick I was like ok, the pain will subside.

Today the injection site is sooo sore and a red and a little swollen. (I took it in my thigh) it hurts to even put weight on that leg! I feel like I’m being a giant baby and need to get over it but it’s causing a good amount of pain?

Hubby says it makes sense as it went straight into my muscle and it will probably be sore for a few days, but from what I’ve read everyone says it didn’t hurt them!

I think I’m just panicking thinking maybe he did it wrong and I go in for my first iui tomorrow and I don’t want this to be a reason it doesn’t work.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? Could it just be a small reaction to the injection?!
