Membrane sweep? Never had one.. help!

Hi ladies,

I am 40+6 today. I went into labor naturally with my first two at 40+6 and had them at 41 weeks. My first was a csection. Second was a vbac. I really want a second vbac. Last week I was 50% effaced and 1 cm dilated. I have an appt today at noon and wondering if the doctor will do a membrane sweep.

If I’m only 1 cm will she do it? Also, do they hurt? I’m a little scared because both my other labors progressed naturally.

I cannot be induced with cytotec or cervidil due to being a vbac. Doctor has also brought up a foley bulb but I think that was when I asked what happens if I go until 42 weeks.
