Did you/will you go to the same OB/Practice as your first born?

I loved the practice I went to through my first pregnancy, but now live 45 minutes away. I started reading reviews of places closer to me and as well as my old one considering it’s been 2 years since I’ve been there. It seems like all reviews are bad! Now I don’t even know what I want anymore. I do know that I don’t want to deliver at two specific hospitals. Any advice, stories, comments would be appreciated!!

I did. My girls are 5 years apart but I was still going for my annual so I never went a long period of time without seeing my ob.  I did move further away but I didn’t care because 1. She’s been my ob since I was 17, 2. She delivered my oldest and she’s amazing, 3. She has great reviews and is one of the bigger names in the practice.  If you don’t really like your old one then I would change but I wouldn’t go off reviews if you’ve had a great experience already.

My first pregnancy we went with a well reviewed OB/GYN and Midwife (practiced together). During the pregnancy we moved about 45-55 minutes away. It was terrible to drive out there, but the doctors were so good that it was well worth it. However, when we had our son, he was born undiagnosed with a congenital heart defect and was almost immediately transferred to a hospital closer to where we lived at that had a NICU. My husband went with him and I had to stay at the far away hospital alone. He was transferred again a few hours later to U of M... so my husband came and got me and took me down there. 
This time around we are going to be seeing a different doctor. We’ve actually moved again and are closer to our original doctor now, but we don’t want to deliver at a hospital without a NICU this time around, just in case. So we will be seeing a doctor who works with the hospital with the NICU that is (this time around) further away. 
I’m sorry if you don’t fully understand what I’m tying to say, lol. I don’t think I even fully understand what I was trying to say, but hopefully you get the point😂 I don’t see an issue with changing if that’s what works for your family. Best wishes, momma♥️

The hospital and my OB caused my sons death at 39 weeks before I delivered him. I sure as hell ain't going back and we're winning our case.

I hated my midwife. Unfortunately she also delivered my baby. She was stone cold with no bedside manner. I got more warmth from an ice cube.

I’m currently receiving care at the same place as my first, but we’re moving (internationally!) at 25 weeks, so I have to find a new OB and a new hospital.  Unfortunately, my husband will be away when the baby is due, so I’m going to go back to stay with my parents for the end of my pregnancy.  Luckily, they still live where I grew up, so I know the area well and can do some research and ask friends for recommendations.  It’s a lot to consider, though!!
