Is it possible to fertilize an egg 4 days before your period?

I had sex 4 days before my period was due, it was due Friday just gone (27th April) it’s now Monday and I still haven’t come on yet 🙈 I’m meant to finish tomorrow.... help

Hey there, just so you know with the way a woman’s hormones fluctuate around each individual cycle there is a chance of getting pregnant at any point including even when you’re on your period. Any time there is unprotected sex there is a chance, but that’s not to say there’s a huge need to worry about it for the moment as you are right in thinking the lead up to your period is when the egg is less likely to fertilise. If you’re still worried and haven’t gotten your period, a simple pregnancy test is quick, easy, and private way to go about it. Tests are very accurate due to an easily detectable pregnancy hormone.  :) hope this helped

Most people don’t ovulate that late but if you did, you likely wouldn’t gave enough time for the fertilized egg to implant (as it takes at least 6 days)
