My daughter is 2 years old. Hubby and I decided to put her in daycare 2 times a week, but now I want to take her out. A little background on us, my in laws live with my husband and I and they have no problem watching my daughter at all, in fact they love it lol. Typical grandparents I supposed lol. We did daycare just to give my daughter some time out the house but now she’s always sick and her pediatrician basically told us it takes about a year for her body to get immune to daycare. That just sounds so crazy to me. I want to take her out and just continue doing learning at home with her and sign her up for a few Mommy and me classes until it’s time for pre-k. So my question is, is daycare really necessary? Do children who go to daycare prosper more than kids who don’t? I’m just a confused first time mom wondering if I’m doing the right thing by taking her out.
