Xanax while TTC?

Question

Have any if you ladies been prescribed Xanax while TTC? I have been prescribed Xanax and take 2mg daily for probably about 8 or 9 months now, and it works great for me. We have recently started TTC though and I just want to be sure this drug is safe while TTC? I read online (I know, valid source right lol) that Xanax can actually affect TTC negatively? Just looking for any experiences you ladies have had, good or bad, please share :) Thank you!

I take SSRI and Ativan for my anxiety and depression and my OB said it's very important to keep taking the antidepressants however the antianxiety meds like xanax or Ativan (benzodiazepines) are very harmful to a developing fetus and should never be used. consult your Physician about it but it seems to me that it's not good.

My OB told me to stop taking Xanax if I am trying to conceive. I also take Prozac which she said was acceptable. Talk to your doctor to know for sure!
