Annoyed with OBGYN

So I went in last week to confirm my pregnancy and they just did a test. I scheduled an appointment for this Thursday and they are doing blood work. Then I finally have my ultrasound May 22nd. I am so nervous because I’ve already had two miscarriages and I am cramping so far with this pregnancy. I notified the doctor that I have been cramping and would feel relieved if I could get an ultrasound or at least my blood work sooner and they told me no and if I was worried I could just go to the ED. I’m not the type of person that will go to the ED for just anything and I’m not in severe pain.

I am 5 weeks 1 day.

I called a new ob and they told me I could come in May 2nd or they could possibly squeeze me in tomorrow.

Do you think I did the right thing by switching doctors?
