April 21 baby is finally here!

On April 26 (5 days after my due date!) I went in to be induced with cervadil at 5 pm. I was awake all night (literally no sleep) with contractions and just general discomfort, and the nurses kept coming in to check every half hour because the baby’s heart monitor wasn’t picking up heart sounds. 5 a.m. the next morning they started pitocin and my contractions worsened. My plan was to try without an epidural but after being up all night with no sleep I opted for the epidural so I could hopefully get some rest. I napped for 2 hours before my doctor came in and broke my water. I was at 4 cm then jumped to 6/7 cm within the hour. By 2 pm I was 9 cm and I started pushing at 3 pm. At 3:27 my daughter was born! 9 lbs 3 oz 21.5 in. I tore and had an episiotomy but everything was well worth it. We are so in love with our sweet babe 😍
