Infection in my big toe.

I have danced for most of my life and because of that get ingrown toenails. I’ve always just picked them out & been fine. I’m not sure if I over picked, or what but my toe is swollen, bright red, and I’m currently in so much pain I couldn’t sleep. I can’t walk, and the shoes I have to wear for work make me want to die. I’m in SO much pain.

I have a doctors appointment with my OB day after tomorrow. I’m going to make her aware. Can she prescribe antibiotics to ease the infection?
