So I am starting college in the Fall. I have NO IDEA what I want to do in life. Honestly. What did you guys major in, or what do you work as, and do you like it? 
What traits would somebody need to do good at the job you do? 
Pros and cons? 
I need ideas 😭 I have never thought about what I wanted to do in life until now!

I didn’t know what I wanted to do when I started college. Take a bunch of different classes. I thought I was going to be a teacher, then I took psychology classes and fell in love. Now, 5 years later I want to open my own bakery. You’ll just have to try things out

I studied mechanical engineering and got a business minor, because I figured that critical problem solving skills combined with a general knowledge of business can be useful pretty much anywhere. For the record you don't have to be "good" at math and science to become an engineer, you just have to understand how their applications are useful, and be willing to work at it.

I never went to college but I’m lucky enough to have my dream job as a content writer for a marketing company. I love it. Writing is my favorite thing to do so it’s a lot of fun to design ads and promos and write newsletters.

Majored in nursing, went on to grad school and I am now a nurse practitioner. I absolutely love what I do! Only con is being on call. Pros include patient interactions, getting to make a difference in someone’s life, authority, and pay.

Got my associates in paralegal studies and now I work as a compliance auditor. Great pay and flexible schedule with room to advance. Hopefully one day I can be a paralegal for a criminal law firm like I wanted ! ☺️

I am also certified to teach general education elementary (pre-K- 4th grade) and ESL (English as a second language: pre-K - 12th grade) 
Teaching isn’t for everyone. I feel as though there are too many requirements to list but a few include... patience, dedication, passion, ability to work with others, and effective communication.

My undergrad degree is in photography and sociology. (So, basically useless, though I’m not sorry about it.) I have a masters of architecture, and have been practicing for 13 years. 
To be an architect, you have to have good communication skills, excellent multitasking skills, good organization & documentation skills, the ability to think creatively and technically at the same time, and a decent tolerance for late nights and travel.

I'm a Registered Nurse, which is honestly a very rewarding career. Unfortunately so much pressure is put on floor nurses (nurses who do direct patient care) about post discharge patient satisfaction surveys, that I feel like I work in a hotel, not a hospital.

You got a lot of time you still have to take the prerequisites. I thought I wanted to be a environmental scientist but I realized I’m not good a physics. I started taking accounting classes and I really love them! I also found out that in school my personality type matches accounting so now I’m sure it’s the right job for me! You’ll have time to figure out at school what you wanna do, this is time when your finally free and able to find out who you want to be.
