Would you go to urgent care?

I have the hardest time deciding if we should go or if it's a waste of time. My son has not had an appetite all day, was pretty fussy this morning and even a little jumpy, and then woke up from his afternoon nap with a fever of 102. He is teething but I'm not sure that it's related.

if hes under 2 months go in. if he's over 2 months id stay home but always trust your gut. I wouldnt take mine in personally. unless fever goes up and doesnt come down with attempts to lower it.

My son would get 104 fevers when he was teething. He had a terrible time cutting his teeth and it was heart breaking :( everyone told me that was way to high of a fever for teething but that’s just how his little body responded :( he also wouldn’t eat much, and had the most acidic poop that gave him horrible, and I mean HORRIBLE diaper rashes :( hang in there mama!!

102 is way too high for a teething fever. Temperature is only slightly elevated with teething. I would see the doctor ASAP.. you don’t know if it’s an infection that need to be treated by antibiotics.

When in doubt I call the pedi. Then if they say child needs to be seen, I’d bring them in. 
But I’d definitely call pedi first. If they’re not worried then you don’t have to waste money on an urgent care co-payment.

Nothing is ever a waste of time when it comes to your children. If you feel like they need medical attention. Contact a doctor. 
There’s been numerous times when I’ve taken my son to the doctor & it turned out to be nothing. 
I personally would call the nurse at his pediatrician and see what she recommends.

I would just call the pediatrician. They'll probably be able to tell you Tylenol dosing, which would be the first thing for a fever anyway.

Seems very teething related. Call your ped tomorrow if still feverish.

Depends on the age. Kids don’t have an appetite sometimes. Especially when you get into a year, two years old... they can sometimes just skip a day of meals because they’re not feeling well or just stubborn.

Does the fever go down with meds? I personally wouldn’t go in. Ours acts the same with teething
