Whenever someone turns 20, people usually say, “congrats you beat teen pregnancy”! A week before my 20th birthday I found out I was pregnant, and the next day I had a miscarriage. And then on my 20th birthday everyone was coming up to me and saying that to me. Obviously they weren’t aware I had a miscarriage a week before, but it was really hard for me to be honest. I was still dealing with so many emotions and all I could do was smile and say “yeah!”. I also know a couple of people that went through similar things before they turned 20. I’m not trying to be soft and say we should get rid of this saying because it’s a joke, something people have been saying for a while. But what do you guys think? Do you say this? Do you think it’s appropriate? I’m not against it, it was just hard for me to hear it a week after my miscarriage lol.
