Car Seat Inspections?

Question

I heard that you can get the car seat inspected to ensure that it's installed properly, but I'm not sure who does this. I'm a ftm, and would like to make sure I did it right. Is it the hospital or police or does anyone know?

You can probably go to your state patrol office, and they'll do it there

You can find an inspection site here: http://www.seatcheck.org/. Make an appointment to be sure the certified person is there and not busy. Always educate yourself, though. These people can make mistakes. The guy I went to installed mine in the center though my car manual says not to. So glad I knew to check the manuals.

In our area in Georgia we have been told one of the local sheriffs offices will check but that fire departments don't always have someone certified to check. You can always call ahead and ask what station would have someone on staff that has had some training.
