TMI. Think im losing my mucus plug

So im currently 38 weeks pregnant and as of Saturday morning i woke up and i smell a strange odor from my girly area so i took a shower but that didnt really help. A couple hours later i go to the bathroom, wipe and see light pink on the toilet paper i've been having discharge so i didn't think anything of it at first. Sunday comes same odor but don't see much pink. Today (monday) same odor...shower doesn't help...go to bathroom see light redish brown and kinda mucusie. Could this be my mucus plug? Doc says cervix was still firm as of last Thursday could that have anything to do with it? First time mom...😟 concerend..ready for baby to be here already.
