How do you stock up on breast milk?

I'm going back to work in 2 weeks and need to build a supply for baby. Anyone have any tips? Usually when I try to pump, baby is still hungry so I don't end up pumping. Or when I do pump my husband needs some of the supply so I can nap. I'm eating lactation cookies but I'm not sure if its helping or just placebo. Any tips? What did you do?

Just add a pump to your day. I always did it right before I went to bed. Your baby will get what they need from the breast even if you’ve pumped, so don’t worry about that. It could take a few days to build that pump into something that feels “worth it.” You’re basically telling your body that your baby has one more feed than it really has so it will need to adjust.

lots of skin to skin. it's a supply and demand type thing the more removed the more you make. even if you pump after baby is finished nursing. I pumped in the morning to feed another baby. once my body regulated to this pumping session (the only time my litle guy didn't eat to nurse was in the morning so I would pump then and feed him after.) I produced 5-6 oz sometimes more during this 1x pumping session. I pumped and donated a little over 4 GALLONS of breast milk to a baby in need. breastfeeding is a long road. I was thankful to nurse my youngest for  2 full years.  keep calm and try to relax.  stress won't help. good luck momma
