Hospital bag!?

First time mom here-what we’re your must haves for the hospital. I’m a nurse so I know some things I’ll want but want the moms opinions.

Chapstick!!! Lips get so dry during labor

All the usuals ...clothing for you and baby ....toiletries...etc. But also some snacks/drinks for hubby as well as a bag of change to use in the vending machines. There are a lot of lists on the internet. Don't pack too much you won't use 1/4 of it ..,,and don't forget your phone charger especially if you are using phone for photos

Don't forget cosmetics. I like to fix my face before pictures. Make sure you have comfortable lose clothes for yourself and slippers are nice. Post partum underwear and ice pack perennials. I got mine on Amazon. Not all hospitals have the ice pack ones and trust me they are a life saver.

Adult diapers. Weird I know but when you see the hilarious mesh panties with a big ole maxi pad, you'll want a tighter fit. At least I think so

I think it depends on the hospital.  For my second baby im only bringing clothes for both of us, makeup, camera, phone and chargers. Hospital has a great selections of toiletries- they even have a travel case for the hubby with all kinds of stuff in it. They even provide essential oils and foot massages.

Snacks definitely!!! Lol. I brought a bag of food with me the first time and it definitely came in handy late at night or between meals. Especially breastfeeding, I was sooooo hungry 🤤
