When to start work and drop baby at daycare :/

Question

Friends if you had a choice to go back to work when you wanted, when would you? I mean since I’m unemployed right now.I have a three month old and I can’t be SAHM forever coz it’s expensive in the long run. When do you think its ok to leave baby in daycare? 6 months? A year? Of course it also depends on when I see a good opportunity it’s but when to start looking? I’m confused and SAHM is not cheap although my husband doesn’t pressurize me just yet lol.Thanks

Well I don't trust daycares with my children. I will wait until they can go to school. But I have twins and am pregnant again so 2 and now 3 kids in daycare is more expensive than being a sham.

My baby was 10 weeks.
I’m a proud working momma.  My childcare is amazing.  He is currently in his spanish lesson.....
I also pay a boatload of money for the best daycare.  It’s an infant school.  Everyone has at least a bachelors in childhood development.

I work in an infant program. the youngest I have had start is 6 weeks! he was so little but I got to see him grow until he was 5. I think when you're comfortable leaving your baby in a child Care program is when you should. most of our babies have started at 4-6 months and they do well. the first few days are the hardest but then they love coming to school. they get excited to see their teachers and their friends.

We’re not putting our baby in daycare to start out because my husband has a super flexible schedule and he’s able to stay home. If he didn’t have such a schedule, then we’d be putting the baby in daycare at around 3 months old when I go back to work.

My son was 5 and a half months when I went back to work part time and although it was difficult and I got made to feel guilty, I actually needed as a person to go back to work. It allowed me to be me for a few hours. My son is now almost 2 and is so clever. He can count to 10 with minimum help, learning the alphabet and can recognise colours and I believe between myself and my husband and the nursery this is how he is quote advanced.

I'd look at daycares & see what ages cost less. In my area, the infant rooms are much more expensive than the toddler rooms, also, see how long waiting lists are. All that may come into play & help you decide when to coordinate looking for a job, applying for daycare, etc. If you're doing a nanny, though, then you're more on your own timeline of when you feel comfortable leaving baby.

We waited 5 months. Our daycare is so great. It’s small and keeps the ratio 3 adults to 1 child instead of 4-1. My daughter gets to excited to go to “school” every morning. She doesn’t really nap and has two buddies who teach older kids and when her classmates nap her buddies take her to different classrooms to hang out. She just turned 2 and she has learned some amazing things at daycare. She can count to 14, knows almost all of her colors, knows most shapes, any animal picture you show her she knows what it is and the sound it makes, and lots more. I’m a teacher and I’m completely shocked some days by the things she knows because they are things we haven’t started working on at all in our house. I would say, do your research first. My community is small and lots of the kids I teach now started at this daycare. The parents rave about it all the time and this was enough for me to try.

I don’t trust daycares. I worked at one (preschool) and my own son went to the same daycare in the infant room. Come to find out they were abusing my child 😡
Found out through a parent who saw it one day. Went back on camera footage from weeks before and it was real. Immediately pulled my child and myself from the daycare and became a SAHM. Never again will my children see daycare until they can talk and tell me everything.

We are starting daycare at 12 months, we own our own business so we have the luxury of making our own schedules so I can go back to work part time after 12 weeks without requiring childcare.
