3 days late no AF and BFN

For everyone out there, I am 3 days late but I took a test today and it says Negative. I know I ovulated since my doctor takes a blood test. first time ever My ovulation number was 11.7 ( normally closer to 6) . I feel like I have my period and keep going to check but I have nothing, I just feel wet like I do? Has anyone else ever experienced this ? Or taken a test at the early stages of your period being and then later got a BFP ? The past few have been very off, slight cramping but it hurts in my back and my hips! I am always tired and can take bc a nap at any given point of the day too. I am also super sensitive to smells around me. my husband thinks I'm crazy bc he cant smell half the stuff I do ... I need some feed back !
