Did anyone opt out of the genetic testing ?

I’m curious if anyone opted out? Obviously it’s important, but just wanted to ask

I didn’t do it because I didn’t feel like we needed to . Neither one of us had any genetic anomalies in our families so I didn’t feel the need to do it .

With my first 10 years ago I did.
Second .. I believe I did as well.
3rd .. was when I decided to start being a bit more diligent about that. When I went in for my ultrasound at 12 weeks ( was actually 15 ) they determined my baby had genetic deformities. 
After some more testing they determined he actually had about 6. 
I lost him at 6 months in utero.
This baby. I 100%opted to have every testing available to me to ensure my child was healthy.

I opted out with my first, but will be saying yes this time around as it included finding out the gender.

We have opted out every time because they store the genetic information in a database and we aren't comfortable with that. They may say that they dont, but I'm very distrustful in these situations. Also, even if these tests were 100% accurate, we are prepared to accept any abnormalities our children may have.

I will be. I hardly have any choice in the matter because of my history. My partner just got his blood test results back and he’s a negative CF carrier to the 50 types that they can test for. But my fathers gene is unknown. Our chances that this baby will have CF is now 1/1000 which is pretty good but this bun could be that one which I really hope not. I always said I’d never abort but I would much rather give my child a life than only have them live until they are 7...

I've been pregnant three times, I opted not to do genetic testing during any of my pregnancies.  For me personally, I would not terminate due to outcomes of tests, so it wasn't worth it for me to do it.

I opted out. I didn't feel the need for it. no family history on either side and I felt like even if there was something to make him be a little different then I would accept him either way.

I wanted to but for some reason they didn’t end up doing it which was whatever I figured everything was fine anyways and it was.

I got it with my first. My doctor brought it up yesterday and told me it gives false positives and causes a lot of stress. That the things they genetic screening looks for can also be seen on youre anatomy scan at 20 weeks. She then said ‘with your previous negative I wouldn’t go with it this time. But it’s up to you.’ I’m not gonna do it.
