HELP ME! *internally freaking out*

So I’m seeking advice from ladies who are sex experienced! So my honey and I have a healthy sex life and we always use condoms. So for the month of April we have had sex numerous times and had no condom issues and pretty positive we were hole free. I used to be on birth control because of my irregular periods but got off about 7 months ago. Ever since then my periods have been wonky. Well my period for the month of April hasn’t come yet and I’m starting to freak justttttttt a bit. It’s about a week late as of rn. Should I go and get a test? Or should I wait and see if it comes in the next week??
