when I started IUI I didn't even know about this. As I have been reading I see so many people talking about being on progesterone along with IUI. It's also in most videos online explaining IUI. I am going to ask about it at my next appointment. 2nd IUI now has not worked and I am moving on to the 3rd. so i was just curious how many of you were on it and how many were not. thanks!

I asked my RE before this cycle started and she said there was a bunch of literature and studies showing that supplementing doesn't help and that progesterone naturally increases as it should as a result of a pregnancy (so long as you have normal progesterone production) that taking more progesterone doesn't increase likelyhood of pregnancy. She then was like, but if you really want to try it..... 😒 We are in our tww for #2 right now, but if this doesn't work, should I press the subject again? Shes a great doc, I just want all the best chances.

They give it if you are on medications the affect your estrogen level. I only used it post IUI when I was on femara and gonal-f low dose injections.

I've also miscarried twice and have had low progesterone levels.

I had it for this cycle unfortunately we missed (didn't have IUI but did have intercourse) ovulation day since it happened over the weekend. but I go in tomorrow morning for her to tell me how/when to take it.

I always had progesterone with IUIs. I would start the day after the IUI.
