How much to feed?

We just started EP about a month ago now since my supply dropped and he wasn't  latching well and I got really concerned about his weignt. LO is now 3 mos and Ive started feeding him 5 oz breast milk every 2h usually about 6x per day. so about 30oz total. Is this too much? Sometimes he takes very long to finish a bottle and I have to really coax him into finishing the bottle. Is bottle feeding breast milk different from feeding formula as far as how much they should take or how often ? thanks for reading

Don’t force baby to finish the bottle! That is the one piece of advice I received when switching over to EP. it’s very easy to overfeed a bottle fed baby. As soon as he starts slowing down, dozing off, or letting go of the nipple then he is finished. Pay attention to cues the baby gives when they are “full”. Good luck!

My 4 month old eats 6-8 oz 6 times a day and is only in the 20% for height and weight. I used to be really worried I was feeding him too much and would try to restrict the oz which just left him hungry more often.
My pediatrician said it’s perfectly fine to feed babies as many oz as they weigh in kilos. But he also said some babies just eat more and that if he wants to eat 7-8 oz, that was fine too. Doctor was even concerned that my little man doesn’t eat enough because he dropped from the 35% in weight. He felt better when I told him baby eats around 40 oz a day, but said feel free to feed him as much as he wants as long as he doesn’t spit/vomit it back up.

My 6 week old drinks 4 oz. I wouldn’t think that’s to much for your child.
