Bumper in crib?

Thoughts on bumper: i read that it s not safe to put a bumper in the crib when baby is born! What do you think? Will you go for a used bedding set? I saw one on kijiji that was very nice and good price. It can be washed. Thanks

We won't use one. If it becomes necessary as they get more active, we'll use a mesh one.

I used one with my first but this time I'm using a mesh one. That way if she rolls into it she can still breathe.

I used one from the time my son was in his crib at two weeks old.  I took it out once he started rolling around thinking it was unsafe and he got his leg stuck in between the crib rails so it went back in.

My son and daughter both used crib bumpers. It's still a new thing, I don't think it's that big of deal but some mommas go crazy over this! With this one I will be using the crib rail instead but only because I'm getting new bedding and the crib rail is cuter :) I'd Use whatever works out.

They have breathable bumpers if you want to use one

I nanny and the little boy I watch would roll all over. And wake up with red marks all over his head. I'm gonna use bumper not right away but once a she start moving.

I don't see the point personally. I just think it's a waste of money. My kids have properly hit themselves on the side of the cot once or twice and that's it.

We used a bumper with our son and he turned out just fine. We plan on using one with our daughter too.

We didn't use one but I did get a mesh one for this time around to prevent body parts from sticking out 😀. The nice thing is with a cute sheet/apron it still looks great!
