Not sure what group to post this in, but I've had dandruff since I was 15 years old. I've tried "home remedies", shampoos like head and shoulders etc. I shower everyday then I tried showering my scalp and hair every other day to see if I'm drying out my scalp. I would love to keep my natural hair color which is dark brown but I'm constantly dying it blond or do highlights because my dandruff is so bad its noticeable. It's very flaky and irritating my scalp that if I scratch I bleed. Nothing has worked for me. I have came to the conclusion that its hereditary. My mother has it, my grandmother has it, my great grandmother had it too. I noticed that the only thing that has helped some is blowdrying my scalp because if I don't my dandruff gets worse and I can almost even smell it which I know that sounds weird...HELP? can i permanently fix this with pills or surgery idk?? Can a doctor help me?
