Over weight and ultrasounds????

I am very over weight and I am almost 9 weeks pregnant and I am concerned that my extra fat will effect how my ultrasounds turn out/read any other overweight moms have any input in this my first ultrasound is this coming Thursday

I had transvaginal ultrasounds until I hit 12 weeks. I’m 5’5” and almost 240lbs, almost all of my weight and fat is in my belly and they had no issue hearing the heartbeat or finding baby through my extra layers when I had an abdominal ultrasound yesterday. I even warned the tech on the phone that I was fat and worried lol. She assured me it wouldn’t be an issue.

9 week appointment is usually done vaginally. so no,no difference

I'd think at 9 weeks it would be a transvaginal. We had our first over the belly at 12 weeks and it was just fine

I’m nervous too I go next week for my 20 week u/s and I’m heavy set I’m scared they won’t see anything and my husband really wants to be part of the u/s but i don’t want him in there and feel embarrassed if they can’t see the baby 😩😢

My first ultrasound at 8 weeks was vaginal. I had another one at 12 and they did it abdominal. I'm pretty overweight too and she had no prob seeing baby.

honey... your cute.  I had the same concern with my first baby,  they just mash a little bit harder but they and you will see the baby.  don't panic,  and as your baby grows it will be amazing.

I am 22 weeks and 230 had ultrasounds at the doctors and private ones and no one seems to have much trouble other than my daughter liking to put her hands in front of her face

I’m 220 and had normal ultrasounds. They are not pushing extra hard because of the fat, but to get a better view when the baby is stubborn 😉. I had 2 vaginal ultrasounds (5w and 9w) after that normal and never had a problem.
