breastfeeding is hard

And painful!! My baby is only 3 weeks old but God I hate it!! I had her on bottle just days after we got home because my nipples were completely shredded. I then received a lot of pressure to get her back on the breast but that ended with both of us in tears. I invested in shields which helped some but I ended up getting a lactation consultant who was so sweet and sensitive to my feelings about everything and she changed my life I felt like such a failure before her. I did have to pay out of pocket for the visit but she was worth it! I still have pain while nursing but we were able to get her back on with the help of nipple shields and her amazing dad who has been so supportive and understanding I'm not sure how long I plan on having her on the breast but we are doing this together just me and my daughter ❤️
