What do people think about dating someone who's serious about there religion but your athiest ? I'm dating a Muslim guy.

I think that it's not a big issue, but it could be one depending on how he feels about your beliefs. You should have an honest conversation with him about what he wants and if he's going to respect your beliefs or if he's going to push you to convert. I think you should learn about his religion and respect it and how he feels about it.

It probably won’t be an issue dating, but marriage would be a bit harder considering most of his traditions and holidays would revolve around his religion. And having baby together would be tough because he would want to raise the baby in his faith and I think it’s something a lot of couples who don’t agree on religion go through. I’m not super religious but I believe in God and wouldn’t have married my husband if he didn’t.

I couldn’t do that. He ruined our relationship by constantly putting down my choice to not believe. He tried pushing Islam on me and constantly belittled me. I’m not saying that it will happen to you, but very religious people tend to push their religion on others, even if they don’t want that. They sometimes don’t notice that they are doing that and they don’t mean anything bad by that, but it can ruin even the best relationships

Dating is fine, but if ur gonna get married it could become a big problem. Things like family, children, holidays, finances, even the decoration in ur home.

As long as you’re both respectful about each other’s beliefs and keep communicating about it and compromise on things and don’t try to force anything then it should be fine. It might be hard at times and really challenge the relationship but with respect and communication you can overcome those challenges

It depends. Some people are way more chill about their religion than others. Some feel the need to shove their believes down everyone’s throat or feel the need to HAVE to convert you. Those people I would stay away from (I was raised catholic but I’m not religious at all). But if you find someone who’s super religious and also respects your choice not to believe then you’ve got a keeper. Opposing views can actually lead to really productive and enlightening discussions.

I’m atheist and my boyfriend is catholic/Hindu
I’m really laid back and try to be supportive and respectful of his beliefs 
Like two weeks ago he lost his cross at football and we went to Lourdes in France on the weekend (we live in London) just so he could get another one and get it blessed plus do this religious walk thing up a mountain, touching this rock cave thing where a nun saw the Virgin Mary, lighting candles etc 
I went with him and did most of it with him apart from this thing where you walk up steps on your knees but that was because I have a problem with my knee 
When we eventually get married I don’t mind that it’s going to be a church wedding and a Hindu/Tamil wedding which are both religious

And in the past I’ve worn a saree and all that kind of stuff

I don’t think it’s an issue. Personally, I’m not really attracted to people with a strong religion but its not really a big issue, as long as their personality is there, then that’s all I care about. No need to convert girl 💫
