Labor Prediction

🌺

I'm 37'4 with a scheduled induction at 38 weeks due to a clotting disorder but I've been hoping to go into labor naturally before then so I can labor as peacefully as possible at home before having to be confined to a hospital room or forced into labor. It's unlikely to happen as it's still early but a girl can hope, right? :)

Here's the thing though... today has been strange.

I've been having weird symptoms that may be possible signs of labor and I'd like your opinion according to your own experience, ladies.

First off, I woke up two hours earlier than I usually do and spent the entire day getting things done. And I've just felt very off today like things were surreal. Like I was awake in a dream.

I have had very regular and close together contractions for months but no progression so I don't worry about them when they happen. But today the contractions have felt further apart than usual and more intense than usual.

I came home from running errands and could barely keep my eyes open so I decided to rest and fell right asleep with the lights on and house a-buzz (which I never do). During this 4hr nap I was deliriously in and out of contractions and eventually I couldn't sleep through them anymore. All the while I was having intense hot and cold flashes (which have continued)

I got up and my lower back, pelvis, and entire belly were so sore from all the contractions but eventually they spaced back out so I ate and chilled out.

Now I'm feeling generally flu-like malaise. I feel achey like I'm getting sick and I'm still having chills but no fever.

I'm trying to relax but I feel weirdly uncomfortable and sick-ish. I'm supposed to take my anti-clotting meds but not if I'm showing signs of going into labor soon in order to get an epidural or have emergency interventions without risking my life.

My first labor was pretty quick and they expect this one to be as well so I'm not risking it yet.

Anyone else have weird things like this happen right before going into labor?
