When you know you just know

Ladies, can someone please unpack what is meant by “you just know” for us mere mortals. Was it an Aha moment? Did it just spring up on you? Was it gradual? Tell us your stories! I really love a feel good story.

Mine was when I told him about my depression and anxiety and the sleeping and eating disorders I have that have developed because of them. And his first response was “I’m sorry, baby. What I can do to help?”

So my husband and I actually broke up after a month together and I was just utterly devastated. I had had a boyfriend or two before him and I didn't really care if we had broke up. But with him, I felt like my life was over. Granted I was also 16 and full of teenage angst which probably didn't help. 😂 But anyway, I just couldn't stop thinking about him but I never tried to make contact or anything. Luckily he phoned me a week later and told me he made a mistake and 15 years later we're still together. I just felt like we were meant to be and it's actually hard to describe it any other way.

oh but it did take time for me to get to that point with him. a little after a year of dating him

when i felt comfortable with who i was with and really liked him.  the first time is awkward enough because you dont have a clue what to do really. so for me being comfortable and trusting him was my moment.
