Clean or not clean baby?

When you give birth do you want the baby putting straight on you before being wiped or do u want everything wiped off them first?

if you cant handle a little after birth good luck handling all the poop and puke and all the other bodily fluids that come from a child 😂

They just put her straight on me. Trust me during that time the last thing on your mind is the gross stuff in the baby! You feel so gross anyway that it doesn’t matter. I just wanted to hold her right away!

My first born was put straight into an incubator and I didn't get to hold him for 6 days. With this second one I won't care of he/she shits directly on me, I won't let go.

my son went immediately on to my chest (where he pooped right away) and my second son will go straight on me as well. trust me by the time you get through labor the little bit of stuff on the baby won't phase ya

I totally thought I would want my son wiped down first, but oh my God... when he came out I wanted him immediately and didn’t ever want to let him go. When the moment comes you don’t even care, not in the slightest.

They did wipe my baby down a little bit just as she was held in a blanket while making sure her nose/throat were clear before giving her to me.
Otherwise, full bath wise, we didn't do that for 48 hours. We read there are some benefits and the doctors said it wouldn't cause any harm at all, but weren't 100% sure there were verified benefits. So, eh, why not 🤷

I want him to be cleaned and looked at (but quickly bc I’m impatient). I know doctors check the baby very quickly and give a quick rinse.
