From what age did you start using oil to cook for your baby?

What kind of oil do you use? And do babies ever have allergy to oil?

My 14 month old love broccoli with olive oil and a pinch of salt. I started adding oil at 12 months old.

They would have an allergy to the oil if they were allergic to something in the oil. It’s difficult to say whether they would or wouldn’t because we don’t know what your baby is allergic to. That’s why it’s recommended to slowly introduce new foods one at a time so you can see if they have a reaction first.

I guess technically 6/7 months because she ate/eats what we eat. I use coconut oil and coconut oil cooking spray.

I've used oil since my daughter started solids at 6 months. My Ped recommended seasoning her food with olive or coconut oil and a little seasoning like salt or cinnamon. The oil helps boost calories and it makes food yummy tasting too!
