Hernia

Jody

Hey everyone, so about 3 weeks ago i started experiencing what I can only describe as a VERY hard “kick” to the right of my belly button. At first I thought it was the baby. But I was only 12 weeks so the baby being up that far is totally not likely. It first happened when I bent down and picked up my very heavy daughter.

Now I am starting to get them almost daily. And it’s always in the exact same spot. It’s so jarring it literally sends my body into a jump. Every time my husband is like “WHAT, WHATS WRONG?!”

I now honestly feel that I KNOW it’s a hernia. It really does feel like organs popping through a tiny hole as hard as thy can. It doesn’t hurt, it’s just very jarring and scary. This latest one happened right before I sneezed. They only happen when lifting, twisting, or sneezing.

I believe I have felt the baby’s flutters and it’s a completely different placement (way lower) and feeling (WAY softer).

Has anyone else experienced this? Please tell me I’m not the only one! The internet said that pregnancy can cause them. This is my second so my abdominals are already stretched and my belly is very much out now. I’m actually quite nervous and need to know how normal this is.
