So my husband’s sister named her baby Aspyn, but my husband and I (who don’t have kids yet) have had the name Aspen on our list forever. It’s the only girl name I like. I don’t talk to his side of the family and he doesn’t get along with his sister. My question to you is, would you still use the name?

My side of the family doesn’t have anyone named that at all, and when we have kids they won’t see his sister or her kid(s), or really his family even.

I understand that they’ll say I copied them, but I honestly don’t care. I love the name. I’m just so bothered she named her baby that...
