Living arrangements rant
When I met my partner I knew he lived with house mates and it never bothered me. I liked having someone around most the time.
He owns the house with his brother as neither can afford the mortgage and bills alone. When I started staying at his house before I moved in it was my partner his brother and two house mates. Both house mates have since moved out and we now have a new one Since I've moved in.
Before I moved in I didn't mind helping out when I was there because they were working and while I did work I was off on my days that I was there and had to keep myself busy.
Now I live here it's me and my partner who work 50hours a week but it's us who does ALL the laundry an ALL the washing up an ALL the cleaning. His brother and the house mate does nothing even though his brother does half the hours we do and the house mate does nothing as he is a student (rich parents pay his rent ) and spends all his days in bed when he's not at uni.
I've tried talking to his brother about it and how it's unfair and he agrees to my face but a few days later when I've not done the dishes because he has agreed he will do his fair share he then texts my partner 'tell your missus to do the dishes they're piling up again'
It infuriates me that they're acting like children and relying on me in the most sexist way possible.
And don't even get me started on bills and money because I could go on another rant about how unfair that situation is.
My partner fully backs me up and we've tried talking to them but I'm a woman and I can't stand the mess so they know either me or my partner will do it eventually. But the he had the audacity to moan at me the other day because me and my partner had two dinner plates in our room from dinner we had JUST eaten.
Oh he also just invites himself into our room (we need to get a new door and put a lock on it as ours just doesn't accept them ) and takes my partners boxers and socks. Not to mention he eats all the food. We buy a mix of decent food like chicken joints and things like nuggets. And because we work till 10pm we don't get chance to eat ANY of the joints. So we're just eating nuggets n chips most nights.
I just feel at my wits end now because the atmosphere is getting tense now.
Rant over lol sorry I just had to get that off my chest.
