Finding a labor doula??

I need help! How do you go about finding/hiring a doula? Is there a website or a trusted company I should look into? Where are you ladies getting your doula? Thanks for the help!

Check out Dona.org -- they have a 'Find a Doula' search. Also, if there is a birth center or natural birth class near you, they can often make specific recommendations.

I would just Google doulas in your area and then check out their websites -- they often have websites, or at least sections on a midwife's websites. Then you could try reading reviews (if you can find them) or just call them to set up a consultation. I don't think they usually make you pay for the interview when you meet them. Or maybe you could call your hospital or birth center and ask if they have any names on file?
