What would you do ?

I don't typically talk about problems in my marriage outside of my home but I just need some advice . Me and DH have been married over a year , and I feel like we should still be in that honey moon period . Unfortunately he never compliments me anymore . I mean Ever . The last time he complimented me was in April ! It's now July !!!!   I've tried talking to him , but I get no where . I compliment him all the time , but never get one back . Seriously , I'm to the point where I don't even try to impress him  because I feel like no matter what I do I'll never be attractive to him . He'll compliment me in a sexual manner , like men do when they want sex . And I'm not saying we don't have a wonderful marriage , family, life together ect .. But I'm honestly to the point where I feel so ugly , and unattractive. I've always had confidence in myself . And I'm not even asking for him to compliment my looks , maybe just tell me he appreciates me every now and then ! ??
