So maybe I’m just over reacting but. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. And some days I have a hard time functioning whether it’s because I didn’t sleep well or I’m really down. My doctor gave me FMLA for a year with the ability to miss up to 2 day a week of work IF NEEDED. Now my FMLA is not paid. So I would be taking a no pay day off. My work just called me and told me as of right now they are going to deny my FMLA untill the doctor changes the time period and frequency of the days I can miss a week because they feel that having the ability to possibly miss up to 2 day a week is unreasonable. For those who don’t know. You also only get 12 weeks (480 hours) of FMLA a year. And they way FMLA is set up is even if I only take 2 hours off it would still count and 1 of my 2 day I could miss in a week. I have only had to take off 1 day in the past month because of my depression. What are your thoughts do you think work is being fair?
