whilst it's lovely to see people constantly fight against the prejudice against race, religion and sexuality. the one thing I never really see the fight against is stigma of mental health. I see so many people using such derogative terms aimed at mental health and honestly it makes me so sad. it's like some people neither think or care that people with mental health have feelings too and that these words effect them.

May is known mostly associated as the mental health awareness month and more importantly for me it's Borderline Personality Disorder awareness month too. it's time to stop pretending that mental health isn't important and that they aren't people too. if you do one thing this month, maybe take some time out and research a little about mental health. it can not only change your mindset on what mental health is, it could also help you support people you may know with it. it may even make some of you think twice about the words you use. I've included some quick facts about Borderline Personality Disorder as I've noticed several people on this app alone who have this and think it would benefit them to have some extra support
