my two weeks old daughter had one pediatrician visit on third day, wondering how many well-child visits new borns get in first six months? once every month?

Usually around 1 week and sometimes depending on how well baby is gaining or if they are still losing weight they will want to see them again in a week or 2 but usually well visits are 2, 4,6,9,12 months

We just do the initial 2 weeks checkup to make sure baby is gaining weight ok and then don’t go back unless there is an issue. My kids are 15, 12, 8 and 2 weeks and the big ones only ever see a doctor if there is an issue (which is almost never). We don’t do “well visits” we feel like they are unnecessary. They go years without seeing someone because they are healthy kids.
